LANVIN Winter 2017 Men’s Accessories Pre-Collection

Heavily influenced by the ready-to-wear collection, the accessories in this autumn-winter 2017 pre-collection multiply connections between the contemporary spirit dear to Lucas Ossendrijver and a more sportswear wardrobe, rich in detail.

This season, the Lanvin sneaker family welcomes a newcomer of extreme lightness, inspired by vintage tennis shoes from the 1970s. Available in grain leather for the Derby model, suede, nylon and mesh in the low or ankle-high versions, this new sneaker has a latex structure and an edgily styled rubber sole, plain or in two colours. With its new sole, the “Running” model is lighter than past seasons. In leather embroidered with arrows or brushed with black ink, in suede printed with graffiti or sporting American college-style badges, brightly coloured linings or reflective strips... Lanvin sneakers are a canvas for all of the season’s tales. Leather shoes conciliate luxurious fabrics (grain leather, matt python), new colours and brand new techniques. While the creepers are hand-made in Italy, the “Vagabond” model inspired by military ankle boots is beautified with spray.

Arrows, badges, graffiti, lobsters... The strongest symbols from the ready-to-wear collection are, in turn, embroidered or printed on bags, from the Messenger to the rucksack. Available in rubbered leather, technical fabric or printed nylon, this season’s models are decorated here and there with a collection of embroidered badges (initials, insignia, symbols) like a legacy from college years, when they are not printed with a hand-traced fantasy landscape. Hidden zips, matt finished metal detailing, padded straps: a new rucksack has made its appearance with completely new lines. The “Flying Lobster”, star of the collection, brings brightness and personality to a whole series of nylon pieces.

Embracing a military mood, the season’s pendants are many and embody poetic symbols, toying with fabrics, materials and collections. At the end of its silver chains, leather cords and fine multicoloured beads, the famous lobster, engraved on a medal or a badge, mixes with the contemporary coat of arms of a man whose look is synonymous with movement: arrows and animals, birds and spiders...
