Chapter Two

Y-3 has always been about the future, but as it continues to demonstrate, it is never predictable. Since its inception however, the impetus at the core of the brand has never digressed. Adidas remains at the forefront of technology with an affinity to popular culture and creativity; just as Yamamoto’s avantgarde approach has always recognized that the essence to contemporary apparel is play. It is these values which shine through in the second chapter of Y-3’s Spring Summer 2018 campaign. Photographed by Alessio Bolzoni and styled by Mauricio Nardi, the images don’t comply to traditional fashion poses or sports movement but bring a spirit of spontaneity. Jungle themes in the form of bold prints and cobra and leopard motifs are an exotic twist in the collection with bold hits of block color and pattern in red and blue punctuating the mostly black and white looks.
