The new designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae follows the codes of the Issey Miyake house while bringing a new energy. New designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae debuts sleeker, lighter and younger Issey Miyake. For his debut collection, Yoshiyuki Miyamae shed the bulky silhouettes that had long been the Miyake signature, sending out a light, airy resort 2012 ready-to-wear collection of funky neon leggings and tights. He put his mark on the Issey Miyake aesthetic by softening it at the edges and introducing touch of ethereal elegance. "But it's not all soft and romantic", he reminded us, "these are beautiful flowers but they also hold poison."
