AUTUMN 2017

An insouciant take on British style with a mix of masculine and feminine. Eclectic energy is created by combining a traditional English essence with playful and unexpected detailing.

In a nod to Savile Row tailoring; a Prince of Wales check is layered with dogtooth. The silhouette is lean and masculine, a double breasted peak lapel jacket worn with a straight slim drainpipe trouser to elongate the leg. Clean turtleneck knits feature a metal circular hardware detail.

Touching on British irreverence, a bold primary coloured comic strip print featuring the mischievous characters from The Dandy series is printed onto organic cotton shirt dresses and separates. Dinah Mo, Cuddles & Dimples and Korky the Cat add a lively, humorous and dynamic mood to the collection with a sense of nostalgia.

Knitwear in a fine gauge or felted for a moulded effect. Tiny fringe details on seams is achieved by hand-finishing each edge. Classic Argyle, dogtooth, checkerboard and arrows feature, layered up for graphic effect in bold acid colours or black and white.

Outerwear and coats are elongated with twists on detailing, a stretched martingale belt or an asymmetric lapel detail. A non-traditional trench is cut from a supple, soft alter nappa with a stretched collar and a belted high waist and a moss green alter suede voluminous belted coat emphasizes the waist. Woolen coating fabrics are cut into long, structured, double breasted coats for a sharp effect; some with a flat Melton finish and others, a pronounced twill. A statement floral tapestry jacquard coat is worn over faux fur trimmed trousers for a sumptuous array of texture.

Billowing printed silks are cut into voluminous dresses and pyjama inspired separates. Crepe de chine is covered in a micro floral, inspired by traditional menswear necktie prints and paired with a new fox Fur Free Fur. Optic white and bronze metallic rhinestone star bursts explode over the prints which are broken-up and mixed together creating charming collage effect.

A bold explosion of colour and texture is created by a mix of clashing shades of reds and pinks. Blush, rose and cranberry pinks are worn both under and over Gypsy red, lipstick and hot pink. A jolt of intense colour in a Japanese wool tailoring suit and shirt in layered reds. All over shine in a sequin covered chiffon dress and skirt, with a border of transparency. A red wool coat with a high overlapped side split, offers dramatic flashes of hot pink from the trousers worn underneath, while a red cotton lace dress and a hot pink fringed dress take the moment from day to evening.

This season the Falabella Box bag is fabricated in a woven dogtooth and a rich burgundy alter nappa. The Falabella Go drawstring and new messenger bag is ideal for those on the move. A prominent circular button hardware identifies the new Stella Popper everyday bag in a rich assortment of tones to compliment the collection. Traditional jewellery is seemingly deconstructed - strings of pearls as a necklace or earrings strung to purposely appear fragile and broken, rediscovered for a vintage feel.

To complement the collection, a Mary-Jane style in tapestry adds a functional but feminine spin, while a loafer is kept low with an under set heel and is elongated with a defined squared-off toe. Over-the-knee boots offer a clean line; or they can be worn slouchy, pushed down for a pile-up effect.
