3.1 Phillip Lim – Spring Summer 2016 Footwear

The footwear collection takes cues from the RTW collection in establishing a rhythm of Romantic and Cool. Contradiction plays a big role in Phillip’s design process to evoke tension and retain balance in the product. In designing the Spring 2016 collection, we use the polarity of Pretty/Confections and Street/Sport to temper and ignite the attributes of both themes. The result is a Coexistence of ideas.
