The Alexander Wang Fall/Winter 2017 handbag collection utilizes the box chain as a focal point in the introduction of the Genesis group; worked into the sides, handles and shoulder straps of clean, familiar, and straightforward silhouettes. Echoing a theme from ready to wear, is the idea of elevating the banal, and stripping down the precious. A conventional Dust Bag has been tweaked and elevated in decadent rhinestones or chainmail for use as a clutch and carried in multiple ways. In addition, Wang introduces three new refined silhouettes to the washed Primary group, a leather dry sack, and fanny pack all of which feature elements of signature hardware.
